Regulation Review and Suggestion for the Indication and the Advertisement of Cosmetics

Abstract
The indications and advertisements of cosmetics are the most important factors of getting information and deciding purchase for consumers. Therefore, the labeling method of indications or the prohibitions of advertisements are controlled by various regulations. However, the regulations of indications and advertisements in cosmetics have unreasonable factors toward international standards and the level of consumer understanding, especially it is very strictly regulated in advertisements. Unreasonable and strict regulations prohibit providing safety and efficacy information to consumers and get rid of opportunity for consumers to select the product. Moreover, we may lose our international competitiveness in cosmetics industry. Therefore, the regulations of indications and advertisements of cosmetics should be reconsidered to protect consumers and to provide more information of product.
